On behalf of pupil, parents, staff and governors, I would like to give you a warm welcome to our school.

Ferryhill Station Primary School is a small local authority school taking pupils from their 3rd birthday (Nursery) through to the end of Year 6. We are all very proud of the nurturing environment in our school and the manners and good attitude of our children is regularly commented on by visitors.

The school building is well-established in our community, originally opened in January 1878. We celebrated our 140th anniversary in 2018 with visitors from yesteryear. Tradition and history is important to our school with our 3 School Houses named after former heads: (Mr) Forbes (the first headmaster), (Mr) Ward and (Mrs) Jago. However, we also look to the future in building modernisation work and innovating a quality of education based on current research.

All pupils can expect to benefit from our FREE Breakfast Club, numerous after-school activities, dedicated staff and a fun learning journey. As a small school, we are creative with our resources and focus on the individual child (statistics aren't everything!).

If you would like further information, or you would like to arrange a visit, please don't hesitate to contact Miss. Smith (School Administrator) on 01740 651 291.
