Ferryhill Station Primary School is a small, happy, caring local authority school taking pupils from Nursery through to the end of Year 6.

I am very pleased and proud to have been Acting Head Teacher here since March 2020, a matter of weeks before our first national lockdown due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. When I first came to Ferryhill Station, I was delighted to find such a wonderful, dedicated staff in this small and friendly school. However, the thing I was most excited about were the fantastic children I found in school. They are friendly, polite and eager to learn.

It has been the most challenging year for everyone, but I am full of admiration at how well the children, parents and staff have coped and worked tirelessly to maintain learning throughout this disrupted year. This makes me very excited to continue working in Ferryhill Station Primary, where I can predict a wonderful, bright future ahead.

If you would like to find out more about our school and perhaps visit in a COVID secure manner, please contact Miss Smith in the school office on 01740 651291.
